2019 National Park Free Entrance Days

The National Park Service recently announced the 2019 dates for free entrance in the national parks. All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone.

The entrance fee waiver on these dates does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.

The National Park Service manages 418 parks of the national park system under 19 different designations, 115 charge an entrance fee, the other 303 parks do not charge an entrance fee. These designations include historical parks or sites, national monuments, national parks, battlefields or military parks, preserves, recreation areas, seashores, parkways, lakeshores, and reserves. There are currently 60 national parks.
